+Discussed 'Associate Member' / Sponsorship
+
+********* This was discussed and not voted in or on...
+
+The 'Associate Member' or Sponsorship (Sponsorship being the more favored approch) A full member would then 'sponsor' in a member who cannot either:
+
+A: Cannot afford but can contribute to the space is then sponsored in whole/part as they feel comfortable.
+B: Can only afford to partially pay dues.
+
+The sponsored member would be granted full membership rights.
+There will have to be amendment made to charter after decision.
+All membership rules would apply.
+They would be granted access to server resources and said security.
+The sponsoring member would have the right at any time to pull sponsorship based on personal financial commitment and personal right to do so.
+
+There was a lot more, but I forget what it all was.

==Disclaimer: Standing on the shoulders of others==Not my idea by any means. This was inspired by the work of Dzi and Vanessa over at GeekPhysical.
http://geekphysical.blogspot.com/2009/12/green-tree-in-electronics-pot.html
Wanting to build these as a kit, there are a couple of issues with the design and code that they provide.
1. Code - Not open, provided as hex. They are using it for other projects so didn't release it.<br>
2. Complexity - The single IC is nice, but the soldering can be confusing for a newb (read: me). It needs to be so simple that we can do a first timer's workshop with this.<br>
==Design Considerations==
1. Easy to solder - No matrices, just pin to LED to ground.<br>
2. Cheap - Aiming to have the kit for around $25 bucks.<br>
3. Open - The chip should be able to be pulled out and reprogrammed however anyone wants.
==Code==
http://www.arduino.cc/playground/Main/PWMallPins
Paul Badger provided code that basically pulses all pins on the Arduino to provide 12 PWMish channels off of the Arduino, which only has 6. This provides 12 discrete lights that all glow and dim independently. As I understand it, a sine wave is used to create values that are written to the pins, and when it goes over 255 it rolls over per pin. So it's not a wave on the lights, kinda a PRN.
